Opened up my Pinterest account today, and the stats weren't showing anymore.

It says I have to set it up again ' Maximize conversion visibility with Conversions API '
My account is so old, don't remember how to do this hahaha, but will look it up again.

Did this happen to you too? So weird to get disconnected like that.

thanks

Lizzy

PS, just read Partha's new post, I noticed my stats go down before with an 'update' apparently, but not that dramatic and also because I thought I didn't pin enough lately, but it was going back up last time I checked. Don't know what I would do honestly if this also took a large dive like from google, Pinterest is now my largest traffic source.

nevermind, solved lol. It seems like they moved the statistics overview? My 2 other Pinterest accounts look the same as before. I never got how the look of different accounts and their possibilities can be so different either.
It was so different when I watched Jay's classes on WA as well, things always looked completely different on my end, then what you guys see in the US or Canada, etc.

So I agree! After trying 2-3 times to watch Jay talk about interest, I have stopped that. It is complete, absolutely useless, and time-wasting for me!

I know right! so darn confusing! On 2 accounts, I can't even pin one after the other below each other (no duplication of a link or tag), I have the create a new pin every time. Luckily on my main account I still can and I can use 'idea pins' still there as well. I have no idea why this is different for each account.
Also, Jay used to say that you can place the same pin for five days in a row and that Pinterest wouldn't punish you for that. I doubted that too. So many 'little' things where I now see: ugh, that's not correct! Like the Facebook groups thing and to 'forget about it', he literally answered my question about that. It's because of my groups that my newsletters are growing ^^

He never answers. I must admit that my respect for him has been falling for a long time. I am not saying he is bad; I am just saying that too many times, things are very strange!
I remember Doug Cunnington using one of his strategies, which was that you should not do things without knowing who is doing them.
He saw the site, saw anything wrong, and used that.
I could have added more than that.
I tested it, and Pinterest stressed that you can´t use the image again. But I used the same pin for four and then five days in a row, always with different pictures.
And that works, at least in my account.
Now, I am testing another idea about the pins, but it is too soon to see if it is right or wrong.

Same here! As I said several times before, when I just started out on WA, I knew nothing about affiliate marketing, adds, how to create a simple website, even how to write anything, I have never been a good writer, not even in my own language. So as a beginner, WA is great!
But the more you learn, and you start looking elsewhere for (free) courses like on youtube/newsletters and such, from others, the more you see that a lot of things that they 'are selling' on WA is either outdated, or just bluntly wrong.

OR THEY DONT EVEN TALK ABOUT CHANGES HAPPENING AT A CERTAIN MOMENT WHEN IT IS NECESSARY AT THAT TIME! Don't come with information that they should have told months ago, it is probably too late by then to take action! Darn, it got me so frustrated lol!

I've been on Dutch SEO forums also, and it was like totally different sometimes, it really depends so much on where you live in the world and how to approach things, cause not everyone works for an American audience either. Things like that, they never mention at all. Like it is better to use a VPN to look at your keywords in google, and to act like you are from the US, because it looks totally different from Belgium or in your case Iceland than from the US when you google a keyword.

" I tested it, and Pinterest stressed that you can´t use the image again. But I used the same pin for four and then five days in a row, always with different pictures.

Interesting, although I try to use everything different texts.

And sure, again, even though Jays classes on Pinterest were for "4 weeks", it doesn't mean anything if it's only one class per week, and it doesn't go deeper than that (neither does she show any results, after let's say three months), and then indeed, he never answers questions and when he does,it is in a very arrogant way, like I'm stupid or something, or he answers something like "that's for more advanced people'.
So when am I 'advanced' then? I've been with WA for almost 5 years now and followed ALL his classes. If at that point I'm not 'advanced' enough, well, there's nothing wrong with ME then, but with THEIR program, I would think lol.
