I'm curious to find out what other think about this browser and it's effectiveness.

Do you use the DDG browser as a stand-alone, or within a different browser, like Firefox?

I was using it on my phone as my default browser, but I think I'm using Chrome now. I use the DDG search engine as my main default SE on my laptop (I switch between the Firefox and Chrome browsers).

DDG is alright if you're a privacy nut. But I've found that I've been having to go to Google or even ChatGPT to get an answer that I really want, since DDG's results don't always hit the mark.

Ditto, I have DDG on my phone.  I also have a duck.com email address.  It has a different mix of content.  I often thought that it was the lack of intrusion to guide searches.

@mrdon.

HEY Don, how did you acquire an email address with DDG? I wasn't aware that was possible....

@rudy It was by invitation when it started back in 2021.  My duck.com email dumps everything into my Gmail account.  I was one of the first to get the email address.  You will need to use your DDG Browser, go to duckduckgo.com/email

Not a comment I was expecting...

If I can control the tracking at all, I will find the tools to do so. We can modify the settings to allow or restrict activity on our browsers, sites etc, yet most people don't care or bother to change anything.

@rudy That was one of the main reasons I started with DDG! There is nothing to hide, and Google's spies have no reason to check things!

But I haven´t and even not thought about it, using their emails. It is bad enough to need to use Gmail.

After I start used it I use it many time, but quicker and in my opinion better. Use it both on a laptop and a mobile.
However, if I am working on websites, I use Google or Edge.

I used Firefox, too, after they fixed the browser so it was more secure, but after the new one, I only used it for 3 sites.

So true Rudy! My Mum's machine is likely riddled with Trojans and I'll say to her "You should update Windows, Mum" ... but she doesn't care!
