Hi Everyone,
I have tried a few times to import an article from my website to Medium and once or twice it has worked but other times it fails and i get the error below.
Does anyone know what the cause it please?
Cheers
Pete
Hey Pete,
There could be "something going on at Medium" at the moment, especially considering Mac's/Andy's post yesterday in the Parasite SEO Group.
Personally, as I mentioned yesterday, I actually think the Google CORE Update has already started (due to the SERP volatility being shown in various SEO tools, usually a good sign that "something is happening").
Plus, with Danny Sullivan announcing on Tuesday that "a Google Core Update may happen in a few weeks", well, we now know GOOGLE LIES, so if one of their search advocates says something, expect the opposite 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That said, I have had this issue before myself, it could simply be a case of clearing your browser history on your computer (click the three dots on the top-right of your screen--->SETTINGS--->Clear Browser History)
It could be an "Internal Medium issue", so you can't do anything but wait it out..

Oh come on Partha ... I think you're biased and bitter.
Nice easy one to rank a parasite post for ... 😉
large chunks of texts and subtitles just disappear
Hey Lizzy ... yep I've noticed this. In fact what I do now is use the import feature and then delete everything but the title, then copy and paste from my published blog post directly into Medium. That way you know you have everything and the canonical link is already added.
Although, thinking about it, it might just be quicker to omit the import step and copy/paste into a new article, then add the canonical!
