so far, after a week already, I earn more than Monumetrics, for sure. And I assume it will only grow more because there are lots of articles to go with ads still. Glad I have changed!

What I also like about Journey is that you can see straight up (you could do this with monumetrics as well, but it was complicated), which articles are gaining you the most money so far, with the heading picture in the stats. For me, that's interesting to see, because when I used AI pictures in Pinterest and then outbound clicks to the post, those show up the most (besides the usual suspects blog posts that were always doing better in the serps).

So although my 'community' doesn't really appreciate AI pictures, those make the most money hahaha! It's a new world people, and we adapt hahahaha!

News!

Today, I got a message from someone on WA, checking my website about miniatures, and she claimed that her virus scanner warned her for my site as a 'dangerous' one.

So I had WPX.net check it out (yeah, I don't host on WA lol), and I got this answer:

" Hi Lizzy,

We have scanned the site and no infections were located in the files or database.

It seems that Avast has been triggered by the Mediavine ads placed on the site.

https://prnt.sc/a60ans-b20YJ

You could reach out to Mediavine regarding this and what could be causing the issue.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Warm regards,
Slavi K.
Security & Optimization at WPX "

So I'm now looking for a contact address to ask them this, and I thought you guys should be aware of this issue !

@ohnoo_not_her Thanks Lizzy!

Further news from mediavine:

" The report you're seeing from Avast is a false flag - we've been in contact with them and hope to have a resolution soon. Here's a link to a previous thread where this has come up if you're interested in more information. "

In the thread they refer to:

" Hi Amber! This pop up will only happen for readers using Avast Web Shield, and it looks like it's just a false flag from Avast since no scripts will actually download. It's very common to see this type of warning on pages running ad scripts when using a blocker like this. This ultimately should be a very low percentage of users, though, and likely only for those with an aggressive level of security configured."

So basically, they are working on it , because it is a false flag

Hi Andy,

How's your Yourney going? I'm still quite happy with the results, and expecting first payment from them in October.

Just one thing though, their stats aren't going deep or expanded enough, I know that I could try and figure on GA4 from where people come from, but I hate GA4 lol, and I'm all over places with my site.

Also, I noticed today, that there is a huge difference to what the 'views' show on my dollhouse forum and what Journey picks up.

For example, I got these 2 posts on my forum, which I promoted on my Facebook group last week, and on journey they got these numbers:

But, on my forum itself, they are supposed to have had more views:

(these are the same 2 posts)

So I was wondering if either Journey isn't always correct or the forum software is incorrect, not sure lol

thanks!

Lizzy

@ohnoo_not_her My journey is going great! I think we made a little less than $800 from ad revenue alone last month (almost double what we were making, though our traffic has picked up a little bit).

In regards to traffic, I would have to ask what exactly are both measuring - is one pageviews and the other unique pageviews? And is there something that the forum is considering as a 'pageview', but GA4 isn't? I'm not sure.

In situations like this, I would generally choose the lower number. Though I may also default to GA4's data over others (not that I trust the data perse, but most have been using GA for so long, it's almost just the default number to go with).

Not sure if that helped or not.

thanks, that helped Smile

Yes indeed, probably the forum counts: 1: seeing the post link, and 2: clicking on the post. Absolutely, I think it is that too and Journey probably just counts the link or so.

Oh yeah, GA4, should be heading back and figuring it out, but hate it LOL

@andy and for sure, Journey has doubled, even three times as much, then Monumetrics, although my traffic also got up
